How to bake a potato
It's trivial, right? No, not if you want to do it right.
There are lots of different potatoes, so first make sure you buy a baking potato.
Pour some fine olive oil on your hands and massage the potato. Then sprinkle on garlic powder, some fresh ground pepper, salt and a bit of Hungarian Paprika.
Set oven to 350F and bake. It's done when a knife goes in smoothly with absolutely no resistance.
Take out of oven, cut open and add the fixings you like. I like none, but you may consider butter or sour cream or chopped chives or chopped shallots or parsley or whatever. Go for it.
