It turns out that Gemini (Google's AI agent) can do algebra.
Here's an example:
Me: Find the roots of the quadratic equation x^2 - 3x + 2 = 0
Gemini: Sure. The roots of the quadratic equation x^2 - 3x + 2 = 0 are 1 and 2
Gemini then went on to give a detailed description of the solution process, making this is a great way to learn algebra.
